Cremation Packages

Direct Cremation

This is cremation without funeral services or the viewing or visitation of the body. Cremation is performed at the convenience of Cypress Lawn after our staff secures the permit from the county Health Department. Our charge for direct cremation includes:

• Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff
• Initial Transfer from Place of Death (Local)
• Refrigeration/Sanitary Care
• Preparation for Identification (as dressed, or dressed in a simple gown/shroud)
• For dressing in clothing provided by the family, please add “Other Preparation of Remains”
• Transfer to Crematory
• Cremation at Cypress Lawn (you may deduct the crematory fee if cremation has already been prepaid)

Our charge for direct cremation does not include use of our facilities for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to or in conjunction with the cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an “alternative container” (instead of a casket). Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are made of composition board.

WITNESS CREMATION (committal service at the crematory)

Cremation is arranged at an appointed time and the family or their representatives (up to six people total) may be present in the cremation facility to witness placement into the cremation chamber and the start of the cremation process.

MEMORIAL SERVICE/LIFE CELEBRATION EVENT OR GATHERING

Facilities and staff for a Memorial Ceremony, including our assistance planning the service, coordination with other parties involved in the service, setting up service area, receiving and caring for floral offerings, staff assistance during the service, and, if applicable, staff assistance at a committal service at the interment site.
