Cypress Lawn Memorial Park was established in 1892 by a group of civic-minded men led by Hamden Noble in answer to a need for a place where people could bury their loved ones with dignity and respect. Thousands of trees were planted and set amid lakes and ponds to create a tranquil and serene garden environment. Beautiful monuments and statuary were created by the leading artists, architects and sculptors of the 20th century to memorialize the men and women who helped shape our Golden State. Unique stained glass windows were created by such artists as Louis Comfort Tiffany to adorn the cemetery's private and public chapels and mausoleums. As it moves into its second hundred years, Cypress Lawn has become a historic resource as well as a memorial to the families of the Bay Area. As an indoor/outdoor setting for a huge collection of elegant funerary, landscape and ornamental art, Cypress Lawn is a remarkable historical treasure.

With the addition of its new funeral home adjacent to the main office on EI Camino Real, its cremation facilities and flower shop, Cypress Lawn will offer families the convenience of total remembrance services, all at one convenient location. Cypress Lawn's expert staff of trained counselors is ready to answer any questions you may have with respect to cemetery or remembrance needs. Counselors are available seven days a week to provide information either at our office or your home.
